Weblish is one of the leading educational video production company in Japan. Our video podcasts on iTunes Japan have been popular for years!
By using humor, computer graphics, well-written scripts and a professional attitiude, we've helped our clients meet and exceed their goals.  Weblish also does a lot of other work besides video production for clients: translating, international and
cultural consulting for media, corporate language lessons, university lectures, and a lot more.

Learning English in Japan is a 670 billion yen industry.  Since Nova collapsed in 2006, less students are going to Eikaiwa
schools and more students are learning online.  Weblish shows and services have increased every year as a result.
Although teaching English is our main focus, we are expanding into many areas of international service to users
all over Japan, Asia and the world.

Weblish produces 6 programs
	John's Comedy 英会話 Show	This show uses comedy situations with grammar and vocabulary points to inspire more learning in English. It has been voted on of the top 5 video podcasts on Japan's iTunes site in 2010.
	Vocabulary Generator｜単語工場	This show highlights 25-30 words and uses it in a sentences to build vocabulary and usage skills.  It was the no.1 video podcast for 5 months on iTunes Japan and in the top 3 video podcasts in 2009.
	Idiomania | イディオマニア	Idiomania focuses on one idiom each lesson and uses the idiom many times in different ways: listening, examples, skits. It's a fast-paced fun show to inspire learning.
	Reverse Engineering English | リバース・エンジニアリング・英語	This program focuses on one sentence in Japanese and changes it into English. By studying how words word in a sentence in both Japanese and English, students can understand the roots of grammar.
	smart.fm おしごとの英語 シリーズ	This program was produced for Smart.fm in 2009 and was the no.1 video podcast for over 4 months. It focuses on vocabulary used in the office and uses them in fun skits.
	Otaku! 英会話	Otaku! 英会話 is unique! Each lesson uses a word from Patrick W. Galbraith's book, The Otaku Encyclopedia and explains the word in English. This show builds students skills in critical thinking.

Weblish has also produced TV programs. 
In 2008, we worked with JTW, a production company and DHC,
a large cosmetic company that also specializes in Education.
Together, we produced 39 shows on BS Fuji TV in HD.  

The result was ｢ 訳者冥利 ｣　a show featuring translation hints from DHC's book courses.

John also does reporting for NHK WORLD about Tokyo for an international audience.
About once a month, he's in the studio with Chris Peppler talking about the unique features of Japan's capital.
