John Daub at TEDxTokyo Teachers: Set Silly Dreams

John Daub spoke at TEDxTOKYO TEACHERS 2013 about his trip from Japan to the top of Kilimanjaro ... with a can of coffee. He enjoyed drinking GEORGIA'S KILIMANJARO 50/50 canned coffee so much that it inspired him to set an unusual goal of taking a can of that coffee "home" to the top of Africa's highest peak.

Along the way, he met many fantastic people and had tons of little adventures. The point of the talk: Achieving or reaching the goal is not what is most valuable. It's what you learn along the way to that goals that is most important. Check it out on TEDx Talks YouTube page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sY1ibhs0wU

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
